What Is Arkham Intelligence?

Arkham Intelligence is a decentralized on-chain intelligence platform. It gathers data across multiple blockchains, enabling users to analyze the interactions between cryptocurrency holders and decentralized applications (dapps).
The platform aims to deanonymize the Web3 sector and ensure decentralized access to data.
The ‘Arkham Codex’ reads:
“The crypto world is covered in darkness. Darkness breeds fear and uncertainty, which bring down confidence and growth.”
— Arkham Codex
Arkham expects crypto data to play a key role in the financial world, which will increasingly rely on blockchain technology.
Arkham launched at the beginning of 2023. Later the same year, it released its proprietary governance token, ARKM, via an initial exchange offering (IEO) event on Binance.
How Does It Work?
Arhkam offers two main products: the Arkham platform and the Intel Exchange, its intelligence marketplace.
The platform’s main goal is to connect on-chain data with off-chain, real-world entities. It can be compared to crypto intelligence services like Chainalysis or CipherTrade, but it uses a decentralized model.
The platform offers several features, such as the profiler, visualizer, personal portfolio, and token pages.
The profiler can track an entity’s on-chain activity, including transaction history, balance history, portfolio holdings, counterparties, exchange activity, and profits and losses.
For instance, here is the profile of Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin:

With the Visualizer feature, we can see Buterin’s interactions with other entities over the years.

Arkham Technology
The Arkham platform uses Ultra, its proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm that is trained to connect wallet addresses to real-world entities. It identifies patterns and can analyze participants’ behavior. Thanks to its algorithms, Arkham is often regarded as an AI play.
To improve its Ultra algorithm, Arkham offers the Decentralized AI Training Accelerator (DATA) Program, which allows intel contributors to earn the native token, ARKM. Sleuths can submit intelligence for training the algorithm and earn ARKM. The Arkham Foundation then checks all submissions.
Submissions come in three types, each with different reward levels.

Arkham Intel Exchange
In addition to the main platform, Arkham offers a decentralized intel marketplace called the Intel Exchange. Here, users can trade intel for ARKM. Data may include labels, hacker tracing, and curated data feeds.
Buyers can solicit intelligence by placing bounties with the amount of AKRM they’re willing to spend, while sellers put their intelligence for sale through auctions.

What Can You Do on Arkham?
The Arkham platform offers many features to perform an in-depth analysis of the crypto market and on-chain interactions. Here is how you can use it:
- Profiler – type any address or name to analyze their transaction history and interactions. Each profile has four main units: Portfolio, Historical Performance, Counterparties, and Transactions. Vitalik Buterin’s page shared earlier is a good example of a Profiler page.
- Dashboard – here, you can customize your view of multiple on-chain metrics or select from existing dashboards, such as the US spot bitcoin ETFs.

- Alerts – you can set up alerts to notify you of blockchain transactions that meet certain criteria. They are sent via email or Telegram and have a direct link to the transaction on Arkham.
- Visualizer – as shown earlier, the Visualizer page displays a graphical representation of transactions related a certain entity or address. You can customize with Arkham filters to show transactions of specific tokens or specific connections between addresses.
- Personal Portfolio – you can use Arkham as an on-chain portfolio tracker. To open it, click on your username at the top of the page.

- Token Pages – you can search for a token’s name or its ticker to access its individual page. Here, you will find its key metrics and transaction history. This can be used as an alternative to crypto resources like CoinMarketCap.
